It wasn’t that many years ago, that employers and others concerned with productivity believed that the Digital Native was a generational phenomenon that would inject competent computer users into the workplace. In this view, it was assumed that people born in the Digital Age were going to naturally grow up with computer use skills. Back then, the older generation of moms and pops, some even afraid of this unknown tech, incorrectly assumed that the confidence younger folks appeared to have with computers and all kinds of gadgets indicated they would be inherently productive users of computers.
